What happens if it rains?
The gulf coast can experience an occasional short shower so seek shelter for yourself and the bike in one of the many shelters along the trail and wait it out. If you made a reservation in advance and the current forecast calls for 60%+ rain, we offer a full refund, or you can reschedule your reservation.
What happens if the battery dies, or I get a flat?
Our powerful fully-charged batteries can go 40-50 miles with casual pedal assistance, plus the bike comes with a battery gauge to monitor your usage if the battery gets to half, it is time to head back, the bikes can be ridden without battery power but it is a chore. With our all-terrain fat tires, flats are very uncommon, however, if you have a problem stop and immediately call us! We will meet you to correct the issue and get you back to exploring at no charge, plus credit you with additional time! Please do not ride or push the bike with a flat tire this can further damage the tire and/or rim which we will be forced to charge for.
Am I responsible if the bike is damaged or stolen?
Yes, you are. Our bikes come with locks and are newer and well maintained for reliability and safety. When you receive your bike, we conduct a quick visual for exterior damage and expect it returned as you received it. In the case of damage or theft, you will be responsible for the loss. We do not offer insurance.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Helmets are your heads best friend! We provide free comfortable, attractive helmets that are sanitized between each ride. For your safety please wear your helmet!
Will you show me how the bike works?
Absolutely! When you receive your bike, we will go over safety concerns and details about how to operate the bike, power modes, brakes, and how to read the digital display. After getting the seat adjusted for your comfort, you will take it for a test ride to be sure you are satisfied. In addition, we will provide special trail maps showing best routes and where the wildlife has recently been spotted.
Can children ride?
We understand some pre-teens are very good at riding a bike and would allow the parents to make that decision. However, Alabama state law requires a rider to be 14+ years old to ride an electric bike and a parent or guardian must sign a responsibility waiver for anyone under 19 and ride with them. All riders under the age of 19 must be accompanied by the responsible adult. Helmets are mandatory for all riders under the age of 19.
Can I ride on the beach?
No beach riding! Gulf Shores and Orange Beach do NOT allow bikes on or near the beach! Sand and salt water will cause the electric motor to fail and you will be responsible for damage. Bikes should never be taken off road.
You are welcome to ride on any hard surface to visit restaurants and shops.
Can I rent overnight?
Yes, you can keep the bike for up to one week. You will be provided a charger, cover and a lock but you will be responsible to keep the bike out of the weather and secure. Keep in mind the battery needs to be charged regularly and you are responsible for any loss. Please contact us for details.
Cancellations
We understand plans change and we don’t want to cause further disappointment or pressure. Because of our low pricing and high demand for newer better equipped bikes, we usually have no problem re-renting if given a 24-hour notice. In such cases, a full refund will be provided for all fees paid.
All cancellations must be sent to: [email protected]
Obviously, “No-Shows” will be charged the full rate of the reservation.
